Experiential and Personal Study

 These exercises could be incorporated  as part of the course-work for every sphere:

 Good to Do:

  • Journaling - keeping record of meditation and other experiences

  • Construction of the Living Tree -  Using construction paper or other, create your own Tree of Life.  Cut out the spheres in the appropriate color and paste onto poster board.  As you progress through each sphere, you could write various key words, draw pictures or other symbols or otherwise decorate and complete each sphere in accord with your personal experience.

  • Creating a  Tree collage-  be open to pictures or words you come across during the course of the day that resonate to the energies of the given sphere.  Cut out and paste onto your Living Tree sphere
 

 Better to Do: 

 Please select at least 2 of these for every sphere:

     NOTE: Please be sure to record your experiences in your journal  

  • Crystal Scrying- using appropriate crystal placed centrally within sphere. Relax, clear your mind and  allow impressions to come. 

  • Tarot Scrying- as you shuffle your tarot deck; intently focus on the attributes and energies of the particular sphere you wish to scry for.  Select as a single card. Be open to the information and messages received. (No prior Tarot experience is necessary). 

  • Walking Meditation- as you calmly walk, allow thoughts and musings of the particular attributes of your sphere to pass easily and gently through your mind.  As you walk, be open to what things attract your attention.  Engage all of your senses in this exercise- smell- noise- textures, etc.. 

  • Mandala Creation- create a mandala placed centrally within your Living Tree sphere.

  • Beading/Jewelry- begin creation of a QBL necklace or bracelet using the beads of appropriate color and/or number to be added as we go through the coursework.

And...

The most important study tip is to be Creative.  Allow you imagination to soar and experiment with different ways of experiencing the spheres.  There is no right or wrong way to go about the personal work, as we are each unique in how we process and retain information.
